Invicus India is a multi faceted engineering firm specializing in infrastructure and management consulting. Currently, Invicus, headquartered in Bangalore, India has a presence in Houston & Austin, Texas, New York and in West Palm Beach, Florida. Invicus provides services in Land Development, Transportation Facility Planning & Design, Highway, Pavement, Airport & General Civil Engineering, Project, Program & Construction Management, GIS, CADD, and Software Engineering & Development. Our success and growth are a reflection of our dedication to providing quality and timely solutions. Invicus, through its parent, is currently providing project design services to DMJM Harris as part of the $ 1.1 Billion SH 130 project. Invicus is also providing program management services on the $ 2.4 Billion Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program. Prior to starting Invicus, Mr. Menon held senior executive positions at CH2M Hill and Parsons Brinckerhoff, two of the world’s largest infrastructure consulting firms.

Mr. Menon holds a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation from Texas A&M University. Mr. Menon was the recipient of the Eppright Most Outstanding International Student Award and the Most Outstanding International Club President’s award at Texas A&M University. He was also nominated to the membership of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for international Scholars. Currently Mr. Menon serves as a steering committee member of the Houston Metropolitan Study, a collaborative effort by the James A. Baker Institute at Rice University and the University of Houston Center for Public policy alongside other stalwarts like Gordon Bethune, CEO, Continental Airlines, Dr. Rod Paige, former Education Secretary in the Bush Administration, Drayton McLane, Owner, Houston Astros, Bob Lanier, former Mayor of Houston, and Chase Untermeyer, Sr. VP, at Hewlett Packard (HP).

Mr. Menon also served as a member of the Media Relations Committee of the Ambassador at Large, Dr. B.K. Agnihotri, and co-authored a report for the Government of India, assessing India’s Image in the western media. Mr. Menon’s most noteworthy accomplishment was as spokesperson for the victims of the Gujarat earthquake where their lobbying efforts with the US Congress and Senate resulted in the release of $ 10 million in Emergency Presidential Relief Aid. Mr. Menon was also conferred with the Hind Ratna, one of the most prestigious awards conferred on NRI’s for their contribution in promoting Indian interests.

To promote bilateral cooperation in the area of civil infrastructure development, Mr. Menon led a delegation of Indian CEO’s and Bureaucrats to the United States. The delegation included, Dr. A. Ramakrishna, Advisor, L&T ECC, Luis Miranda, CEO, IDFC Private Equity, Mr. A.K.T. Chari, Senior Advisor, IDFC, Mr. Binoy Kumar, Secy, Govt. of AP, Sameer Vyas, MD, TWICL, Dr. R Kapur, Director, Unitech, S. N. Subrahmanyan, GM & Head Airports, L&T ECC and others. The delegation spent over 2 weeks interacting with Government Entities, Departments of Transportation, Metropolitan Agencies, City Governments and International Consulting firms.

As a Board Member of the Indo American Political Action committee, Mr. Menon is very active in engaging and building relationships with politicians at the local, state and national level. He is very keen on building better ties between India and the US and has made presentations to several congressmen and senators. Mr. Menon was the Past President of the American Society of Indian Engineers. Today, he is an active board member promoting the interests of engineers, providing a forum for networking and spearheading collaborative initiatives between India and the US. Mr. Menon is also active with the Indo American Chamber of Commerce in India and of Greater Houston. He served on the infrastructure committee of the Chamber in India. Mr. Menon served as the Chapter representative of the American India Foundation (AIF), whose Chief Patron is the former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, and co-founders include Mr. Rajat Gupta and Victor Menezes.

Mr. Menon has been involved with the former President, H.E., A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on the PURA initiative. In an hour-long discussion with the President, he stressed the need for both urban and rural infrastructure improvements to proceed hand in hand and outlined his plan of Providing Urban amenities in Rural Areas (PURA). This initiative centers on providing Physical, Economic, Electronic and Knowledge connectivity in the rural areas.

Most recently, Mr. Menon was the First Runner Up from Bangalore on the Lead India Campaign initiated by the Times of India. Although he came in a close second in representing Bangalore, he believes the People have won. He is very keen on bringing about grassroots change by nurturing a cooperative environment between the polity, bureaucrats and the people.

Mr. Menon currently serves as a Prominent Advisor to the Department of Urban Land Transport (DULT), GoK, a Prominent Member of the Bangalore City Connect Foundation (BCCF) and as a Member of CiSTUP at IISc. Mr. Menon is also on the Board of Advisors of The Sherwood Institute.

He is married to Namrita Menon, a Texas A&M graduate of the Class of ’95, and an MBA from IIM, Bangalore and has two beautiful kids, Sanjana and Siddhanth.
